The MVRSA’s annual picture drive fundraiser will be starting on Monday, November 25, 2024, and is expected to last until February, 2025.

During this time, 5 employees of VFRD will be visiting homes and neighborhoods throughout Mechanicsville, asking for donations to benefit the MVRSA and the Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad. Donations will be used to help replace outdated equipment (ambulances, stretchers, lifepacks, etc.) that are used by MVRS in over 3000 calls for EMS assistance annually within Mechanicsville and surrounding communities. As a thank you for donations, a family portrait photo session will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the rescue squad, and each family will receive a complimentary portrait.

The 5 employees are: Terry Harrison, Mike Pullen, Jim Crampton, Ronnie Hall and Joe Root. Mr. Harrison, Mr. Pullen, and Mr. Crampton will be traveling in a 2019 Red, Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, with MD tags 2FC 6653. Mr. Hall will be traveling in a 2005 Silver Buick, MD tags MRE8228, and Mr. Root will be traveling in a 2008 Blue Subaru, NC tags KFE5990. .
